Why now

The biggest federal retirement wave in history is colliding with the least support.

Hundreds of thousands of federal employees left or filed for retirement in the last two years. OPM's processing backlog remains in the tens of thousands of cases, and the HR shops that used to walk employees through their options have been cut to the bone. More feds than ever are making an irreversible, six-figure decision with less help than ever.

Your agency can give you an annuity estimate. What nobody gives you is the decision support around it: What changes if you wait a year? What does the supplement really pay — and when does the earnings test claw it back? Which date maximizes your leave lump sum? Did you check the FEHB and FEGLI five-year rules before it's too late to fix them?

What you get

The Federal Retirement Readiness Report

A personalized PDF report built from your own numbers — entered through a short guided questionnaire, no documents to upload. It includes:

All calculations are performed by deterministic, tested software — never estimated by AI. Same inputs, same outputs, every time, with the work shown.

Special provisions, treated as first-class

Law enforcement. Firefighters. Air traffic controllers.

Most retirement tools treat 6(c)/special provision coverage as an afterthought. We don't. The enhanced 1.7% computation, age-50/20 and any-age/25 eligibility, mandatory separation dates, and the supplement rules that apply to you are built into the engine — not bolted on.

How it works

Three steps. No documents. No sales call.

1

Confirm fit

Make sure your situation fits the first version: Regular FERS or FERS Special Provisions, with no unsupported CSRS, disability, or complex court-order issues.

2

Pay and complete intake

After checkout, answer the guided questionnaire: service history, coverage type, candidate dates, high-3, sick leave, FEHB premium, and survivor election.

3

Get your report

Your personalized readiness report is generated, manually reviewed, and emailed within 1 business day after your completed intake is submitted.

Who's behind this

Built by a fed, for feds.

D
I spent 25+ years as a federal employee on mission-critical programs. When it came time to plan my own FERS Special retirement, I still had to burn dozens of hours piecing together OPM handbook chapters, TSP bulletins, and conflicting forum answers just to understand my own benefits. Your agency hands you an annuity estimate, but nobody helps you with the decision around it — which date, which elections, what the supplement really pays, what's irreversible. Nobody should have to reverse-engineer their own retirement to make the biggest financial decision of their life. So I'm building the tool I needed. — Derek, 25+ year Federal employee, FERS Special

Questions

FAQ

Is this affiliated with OPM, TSP, or the federal government?

No. FedRetireCheck is an independent, private product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the Thrift Savings Plan, or any government agency. Official benefit determinations are made only by OPM.

Is this financial advice?

No. The report is educational decision support. It shows you what the rules say and compares your scenarios side by side — "if you retire on date A versus date B, here is the difference." It does not tell you what to do, recommend investments, or manage money. For personalized advice, consult a licensed financial professional.

Do I have to upload my SF-50s or other documents?

No. You enter a small set of values through a guided questionnaire — values you can read off your LES or your agency's benefits portal. We never ask for your Social Security number, and we don't store employment documents.

How are the calculations done? Is this just AI?

No AI performs any calculation. All math is done by deterministic, tested software implementing the rules in the OPM CSRS/FERS Handbook and TSP publications. Every figure in your report cites the rule it comes from. AI is used only to explain results in plain English — never to compute them.

What if my situation is complicated — military buyback, part-time service, CSRS?

The first release covers full-time FERS and FERS Special (LEO/firefighter/ATC) careers. If your situation includes things we don't yet handle well — CSRS components, military deposits, significant part-time service — we'll tell you exactly that rather than give you a number we can't stand behind, and you won't be charged.

Why is the founder price $49?

The first cohort helps validate the report workflow while each PDF is still manually reviewed before delivery. Once the intake, review, and delivery process is fully automated, the regular price is expected to be $99.
